This section is all about rediscovering the things that make NYC great. Yes, I’ve been living in this great metropolis for three years, yet I haven’t fully explored everywhere! That’s why I’m going to cover hidden gems, restaurants, coffee shops, everything that makes NYC awesome and makes you want to live here.
Saturday was a gorgeous day in NYC, slightly windy, temps in the 70s, sun shining down – basically perfect for being outside. Of course, one should remember that if you have that idea, so does everyone else in the city. I thought I was the only one with this grand idea. Oh no. Not at all.
Starbucks, Pret A Manger, Dunkin, all of these chains are so… ordinary. Is there a New York-centric coffee chain? Why yes, there is! It’s called Cafe Grumpy. I went to it over the weekend and was charmed by the small Chelsea location. Their logo, the grumpy little face you can just see in the picture below, is incredibly charming in this world of happy face emoticons.
