If you haven’t had a chance to check the news this week, let me alert you to a new feud: Demi Lovato/Taylor Swift.  Seems Demi has called out Taylor for giving Keisha $250K to aid the court case against Dr. Luke.  I’m sure theSkimm will have everyone up to speed on this by tomorrow morning if they haven’t already mentioned it.  These little feuds seem rather petty though, especially in the wake of our trip to Boston.

While we were freezing on our Boston vacation, my sister and I took a tour of The Nichols House Museum.  It’s an old house in the Beacon Hill area (read affluent/expensive) that was once owned by a woman who was an elected officer of the Boston Equal Suffrage Association, a professional garden designer and writer, as well as a woman who would not take “No” for an answer.  When did she have time to do her needlepoint?  (She did all the needlepoint on this canopy over the bed.)

Looking at the website for The Nichols House, I was able to read up on Rose Standish Nichols, who left the house to the city of Boston as a museum.  The one thing that really stands out to me is this story, from an article by Judith B. Tankard, entitled: Rose Standish Nichols, A Proper Bostonian.
And without further ado…  more photos from the visit!
