Christmas is done, on to the next Holiday – New Year’s Eve!  I still don’t know if I have plans and if I don’t, that’s alright, too.  If I do end up going out, I have the perfect outfit ready to go. I got this cute, on trend, pleated, metallic skirt from Express for Christmas.  Okay, so actually I got it in the big sales the day AFTER Christmas, but let’s not be nitpicky, ‘kay?  I got the black heels there as well.  I should have worn nylons or gone bare-legged so you could see the way the heels are that ‘cage’ type, but I would be wearing this outfit with tights, so I wanted to be true to how I would style it.

As I showed on our Instagram page the other day, I would wear this skirt two ways; as a flirty New Year’s Eve skirt, or as a comfy, running errands skirt.  In the first few pictures, I’m wearing the comfy version.  I love my new Wildfox sweatshirt.  Pretty sure I’ve been wearing it 24/7 since Christmas.  It’s the softest sweatshirt I’ve worn in years.  It’s exactly the right weight to throw on over a t-shirt or a tank.  It’s downright perfect — and I’m not a gusher.

First up – the skirt in all its metallic and pleated glory–

You can wear the skirt with sneaks like I did above, or a nice boot, even an over-the-knee one.  I like all the possibilities.

Next we’re on to the outfit I’d wear for NYE – or a nice date after the holidays have passed.  I’ve paired the skirt with a tank that has a little bit of bling on it.  You could wear a black shirt, or t-shirt, or tank like I did and it would still be elegant.  The focus here should be on the skirt.  Be careful though!  I learned the hard way that the skirt is a little see-through when you’re taking pics.  (Not showing you those pics! HA!)

I thought it would be fun to play with the photobooth props.  How cute are they?  Let us know what your NYE outfit will be or if you’re going to try a comfy skirt combo.  Hashtag it on insta with #comfyskirtlove. We’ll be looking for it!
